Migrant Worker Community Program Health Fair

The Migrant Worker Community Program Health Fair was an event held on Sunday, April 30th, 2023 at Roma Club in Leamington, Ontario in support of the migrant workers in Leamington. There was a large turnout of participants from the migrant worker community and the event offered a wide range of health services and screenings. These services included, blood pressure tests, glucose screenings for diabetes, COVID-19 vaccines, and dental screenings. These health services were provided free of charge by healthcare professionals who volunteered their time and expertise. In addition to these health services, the event also featured food and raffle prizes, adding to the festive atmosphere. The Health Fair was a great opportunity for the migrant worker community to come together, socialize, and enjoy some food and fun activities.

Overall, the Health Fair was a resounding success and a testament to the dedication and commitment of the Migrant Worker Community Program and their sponsors (People Corporation, Nature Fresh, Government of Canada etc.) to supporting the health and well-being of migrant workers in Ontario.
